Yesterday, I'm  doing my Christmas planning and how much should I spend this holiday season.

I have to think what are the best idea and cost effective during  this time of recession.

Maybe  I just sent my friends and relatives a Christmas Cards to remind them that they are important to me.

Luckily, New Zealand Post has launched a new option for small businesses wanting an efficient and cost effective way to send their customers a personalised message over the holiday season.

Send a Card is an online service that gives businesses the opportunity to create their own Christmas cards on their computers and arrange for New Zealand Post to print and post them to their customers, says Dr Sohail Choudhry, General Manager Targeted Communications at New Zealand Post.

“With a few clicks businesses can personalise their cards uploading their own images or using a Send a Card design template and adding their own message, all from their computer,” Dr Choudhry said.

“Because Send a Card allows you to post to 50 different addresses for each card, it’s a great solution for small businesses wanting to reach their key customers in a personal way over the busy Christmas period,” Dr Choudhry said.

Send a Card also enables individuals to send personalised Christmas cards and post cards to family and friends over the holiday season.

Send a Card prices include postage and costs start from $2.99 for a postcard or from $3.99 for a greeting card when sending within New Zealand.

How Send a Card works

  1. Log onto www.nzpost.co.nz/sendacard.
  2. Select a postcard or greeting card template.
  3. Personalise the front of the card by selecting an image. Send A Card allows users to upload their own photos or create a card by selecting from Send A Card’s library of New Zealand images.
  4. Users add their own text to the front of the card and a personal message inside the greeting card or on the back of the postcard.
5.    Add the address details of those receiving the card, the sender’s address details, and the date the card is to be delivered.

6.       Confirm the order. Send A Card will show a preview of the card, the delivery and sender address details, the delivery date and the price. Once users are satisfied all details are correct, the user pays with a credit card via a secure connection. New Zealand Post will then print the card on high-quality, satin-finished heavyweight card and deliver to family and friends across New Zealand or overseas.
